The Wildcats are rolling into SEC play with momentum.
Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball secured an 88-70 victory over Western Kentucky University on Saturday.
With the win, the team improved to 11-1 this season, marking their fourth consecutive victory over the past three weeks. Their 88 points were the second-highest scoring performance of the season.
Georgia Amoore and Clara Strack led the charge offensively, each scoring 21 points. Amoore added nine assists, while Strack grabbed 12 rebounds. Teonni Key (15 points) and Saniah Tyler (11 points) also reached double figures, contributing to a total of seven players scoring in the game.
Kentucky begins Southeastern Conference play on Thursday, hosting Mississippi State at Historic Memorial Coliseum. They’ll then hit the road for matchups against Vanderbilt and Florida.
