Van Lith scores 17 to help No. 11 TCU women beat Brown 79-47

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Hailey Van Lith scored 17 points, and Madison Connor made four 3-pointers and added 14 points on Sunday to lead No. 11 TCU to a 79-47 victory over Brown.

Van Lith also contributed five assists, five rebounds, and three steals, while Taylor Bigby scored 11 points for the Horned Frogs.

TCU (13-1) has now won four consecutive games since an 82-54 loss to No. 3 South Carolina on Dec. 8 at the Coast to Coast Challenge.

Grace Arnolie hit three 3-pointers in the opening five minutes, and Olivia Young added another with 4:34 remaining in the first quarter to give Brown a 12-8 lead. The Horned Frogs responded with a 9-2 run to close the period, then scored 12 of the first 14 points in the second quarter to extend their lead to 13. TCU carried a 34-25 advantage into halftime.

Bigby opened the third quarter with a 3-pointer, and TCU maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the game.

The Horned Frogs dominated the boards, outrebounding Brown 54-28, including a 20-6 edge on the offensive glass, which resulted in a 27-5 advantage in second-chance points.

Isabell Mauricio led Brown (6-7) with 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting, while the rest of the Bears combined to make just 10 of 41 attempts (24.4%) from the field. Arnolie added 13 points.

TCU hit 11 of 27 from beyond the arc (41%) and has now made 148 3-pointers this season, the most in Division I.
