Redick highlighted Bronny’s ability to make decisions both on and off the ball, calling it the biggest area of improvement. He emphasized that Bronny has gained confidence and aggression, two key traits for a young player. Despite limited minutes in the NBA, Bronny has taken advantage of his opportunities, scoring in each of his last seven games and even posting a career-high 17 points and five assists against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Lakers coach acknowledged that young players, especially second-round picks, often struggle to find consistent playing time. Bronny has spent time transitioning between the G League and the main roster, which has helped his confidence and scoring ability. His ability to play at all three scoring levels—inside, mid-range, and from beyond the arc—has been improving, as seen in his recent G League performances.
Bronny’s growth was also evident in his recent matchup against NBA veteran Isaiah Thomas in the G League. Despite his team losing, Bronny recorded 16 points, six rebounds, and a season-high eight assists, showing his ability to compete at a high level.
With injuries affecting the Lakers’ rotation, Bronny has started seeing more NBA minutes, albeit mostly in garbage time.
