Fougner, a celebrated track and cross-country coach, led UVic to nine national titles and coached 60 U Sports track medallists, including Olympians and international athletes. Named U Sports cross-country coach of the year nine times, he also coached Canadian teams at the Olympics and world championships.

Moreno Stefani:
A former Vikes soccer player, Stefani has been a driving force behind UVic’s varsity programs and founded the UVic Alumni Soccer team, which dominated Vancouver Island’s Masters Division for two decades.
Looking AheadWith these four inductees, the UVic Sports Hall of Fame will expand to 68 individual and team honorees since its inception in 2002. Their plaques will be displayed on the concourse walls of the CARSA Gymnasium.
