Angel Reese Reveals Love Letters That Forced Mom to Call Police

Angel Reese has become one of the WNBA’s most popular stars after a standout rookie season with the Chicago Sky, where she led the league in rebounds before a season-ending injury in late 2024. With her rise to fame, she’s gained a massive fan following — though some admirers have crossed the line into unsettling territory.

During a recent episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, the 22-year-old forward revealed a troubling experience from her college days involving love letters from an unexpected source.

“When I was in college, somehow, some way, these men in jail used to send letters, like love letters,” Reese shared. “Somehow one of them got my address — my mom’s address. My mom had to do all that and call the police and all that.”

Reese described the disturbing content of the letters, making it clear why her mother felt the need to involve the authorities.

“I swear, he talking about, ‘When I get out, I’m coming for you. I’m gonna be with you. We going to have kids,’” she continued. “Sir, take a timeout. … People are crazy.”

Though Reese can laugh about it now, the situation must have been terrifying when she first realized that an inmate had learned her home address.

As for her personal life, Reese remains single — at least according to her. Earlier this year, she was rumored to be dating Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren, but she quickly shut down the speculation. In a recent interview, the former LSU star made it clear that she is, in fact, in a relationship — with God.

On the basketball front, Reese appears fully recovered from the wrist injury that required surgery. The 6-foot-3 forward seems ready to hit the court again as she gears up for the inaugural season of the Unrivaled league in January.
